CIO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American International (ESRI) Foundation to provide the Organization technical support and latest technology. The memorandum has signed between Dr. Khalid Al Haidan from CIO, the Director of Geographical Information System and by Jack Danjermond from the (ESRI) Foundation, the CEO of the company.
Dr. Al Haidan said that the memorandum of understanding came because of the Global Foundation (ESRI) confidence of the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the CIO and the extent of the Kingdom weight in the field of GIS. And the memorandum include also that the CIO is a partner in the region as well as support the Organization programs, especially the training programs and other benefits.
He pointed also that the memorandum signing reflects the institution confidence of the CIO, although the number of the company members in the world exceeds 300 thousand foundations, but the CIO won the confidence of the institution as a result of the high level in the field of GIS and its role in the continental and global level in this field.
