Bahrain Kingdom participated represented by director of licenses and wireless frequencies and control in Central Organization of Information and communication at the world radiocommunication international conference 2012 which was held at the international telecommunication union in Geneva, Switzerland from 23 January to 17th February 2012, Kingdom’s delegation was led by head of frequencies control, acting director licensing and wireless and frequencies and control Mr. Hassan Mohamed Hassan beside the relevant government agencies that uses frequency spectrum in the kingdom.
Mr. Hassan added that “the conference was attended by nearly 3144 participants representing 166 countries, in addition to governmental organisations representatives and semi-governmental ,Operators, and other organizations related to communications. Including that the conference works began by developing the general structure and then elected the conference president if it was agreed to elect the executive director of spectrum and international affairs in telecommunications regulatory authority of UAE team leader for the Arab permanent spectrum (ASMG) Tariq Al Awadi to preside the conference.
The head of delegation Mr. Hassan Mohamed said that the Arabic Group team came out with good results regarding to conference decisions and recommendations which is consistent with Bahrain Kingdom requirements in Radiocommunication sector as a result of the coordination and good preparation in the four years that preceded the conference and daily meetings of the Arab delegations, and he emphasized the need to continue preparations for the team to prepare for the next conference (WRC-15) earlier and more effectively, the delegation thanks leadership and National Group of the International planning (IPG) for their support, efforts and cooperation.
