Al Amer: Communications Directorate of the CIO managed and coordinated 600 frequency band for the F1

Dr. Ahmed Al Amer President of the CIO praised the sincere efforts made by the organizers of the World Grand Prix Formula One that hosted by the Kingdom and has a large presence and participation of citizens, residents and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.

Dr. Al Amer said that the CIO representative of the Directorate of Licenses and frequencies and Wireless Control managed the radio frequency in coordination to nearly 600 temporary frequency communications systems and transportation operations of radio and television for the Formula 1 events.

For his part, the Chief of Frequencies Control, the Acting Director of Licensing wireless Engineer Hassan Mohamed Hassan said that the Communications Directorate has formed a special team to monitor and control the frequency bands to determine the sources interference and stop it before and during the event, noting that the team coordinated with governmental and non-governmental organizations to success this event, and also a control room has been prepared in Bahrain International Circuit for the team equipped with the latest specialist equipment and expertise Bahraini specialized to be able to monitor and control the radio frequency.
