The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the Central Informatics Organisation wins the best Educational Geographic Information System award in the Middle East, through the International Conference on Geographic Information, which was held under the supervision of ESRI World in Dubai from 15 to 17 March 2010 and is the system that was developed and implemented by the Central Informatics Organisation for the Ministry of Education. The award was received by Dr. Khalid Al-Haidan, Director of Geographic Information Systems of the Central Informatics Organisation in a special ceremony held on the sidelines of the conference of the Executive Director of the GISTEC, an institution representative for the U.S Company exporting GIS programs (ESRI), in the presence of Mr. Dean Angelides vice president of ESRI. And comes from being among the large number of developed countries, especially in Information Systems, note that the conference had witnessed the presence of 700 participants from several countries.
