The Supreme Committee of excellence and quality of CIO held a meeting to ensure about the progress of the internal audit quality in preparation for the external auditor visit in October

The meeting came after the team field visit to all CIO Directorates to consider the readiness of the frameworks and systems that provide a platform to apply the international quality standards. The meeting was opened by CIO President Dr. Mohammed Al Amer in the presence of General Directors and other Directors. CIO President Dr. Mohammed Al Amer said that the Organization is working to apply the international quality standards in all Directorates, in effort to improve the work and services quality provided by CIO across different sectors in order to meet the needs of customers and ensure they receive high quality. For his part, Mr. Ahmed Al Wedaei Director of Government Information Network the coordinator of the quality in CIO said that the Director General of Information Technology has already got the international quality certificate over ten years

Because of CIO importance as a reliable source in planning different government agencies projects, the Supreme Committee of excellence and quality in the Organization chaired by the President considered to expand the umbrella of quality to include the various Directorates and qualify them for the international quality certificate (ISO 2008: 9001) by BERUE VERITAS global company

Mr. Abdulrahim Al Abbasi Head of excellence and quality team said that the Organization was in all auditing stages fully coordinated with the CSB by their representative Mrs. Layla Janahi as responsible for applying the quality in government agencies

The quality team visited the Directorates and all Sections to make sure that the documents, regulations and decisions which constitute the ground for the application of quality standards are available in preparation for the global ISO certificate.
