The Central Informatics Organization won the E-content award that was organized by Bahrain Internet Society in cooperation with the e-government for Bahrain Locator project. The award was handed over by the Deputy Prime Minister HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, in a special ceremony held in the Gulf Hotel, The award was received by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Amer, President of CIO.

The award-winning site Bahrain Locator (www.bahrainlocator.gov.bh) is specialized in positioning the Kingdom through the advanced technology and adding new information such as satellite images. The site is easy to use through the provision of updated search tools and also is the best in the world in terms of design, technology used and the volume of Data provided in the site estimated at more than half a million. Bahrain Locator became a portal site for visitors, tourists and many more who want access to information, maps and websites.
