Arabic e-content award that follow the WSA (World Submit Award) of the United Nations for Bahrain Locator project

The Central Informatics Organization (GIS Directorate) won the information in Arabic e-content award that follow the WSA (World Submit Award) of the United Nations for Bahrain Locator project. The award were handed over by THE Deputy Prime Minister HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, in a special ceremony held in the Gulf Hotel, The awards were accepted by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Amer, President of CIO.

The award-winning site Bahrain Locator (www.bahrainlocator.gov.bh) is specialist in positioning the Kingdom through the advanced technology and adding new information such as satellite images. Where the site is easy to use through the provision of updated search tools and also the site is the best in the world in terms of design, technology used and the volume of information provided at the site estimated at more than half a million. Bahrain Locator became a portal site for visitors, tourists and anyone who wants access to information, maps and websites.
