Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Amer President of the Central Informatics and Communication Organization confirmed that winning the award for Best Electronic Project for e-government sector (Draft Permits Road Using) in Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2012, Bahrain Information Technology Expedition 2012 as result of the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior.

He added that the award is an estimate of all CIO employees and their performance in building the system to serves all the service ministries and relevant infrastructure in the Kingdom, noting that this information base, at an advanced stage enables the ministries to make decisions based on accurate information.

He explained that the work mechanism able all the Ministries to update their own data and provide them to other ministries. In conclusion Al Amer praised the efforts of the contributors to the project and their cooperation, especially the Development Committee of the project headed by Sheikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of Electricity and Water Authority.
